Senses Garden
The Senses Garden has been created as a way to involve the community, local schools and people with sensory deprivation in learning about gardening and the sustainability of the environment.
The garden focuses on four of the five senses – sight, smell, touch and hearing. It features a range of plants and features to invigorate and interest garden users.
Garden visitors can get lost in the Senses Garden maze and take a walk through the ever-changing willow tree Living Tunnel.
Other features include a fish pond that is surrounded by a wide variety of plants, a Wind Engine, a Sound Fence for visitors to make some noise and a meeting area/classroom.
An educational package will be available as part of the workshops and open days which will involve the Science National Curriculum.
